Cruisy paths and Hip Days…….

Stowe , Vermont

For those peddlers who have commented on the strenuous nature of my earlier rides, this one is for you!  Take a cruisy journey with me down the beautiful Stowe Bike path.   A  5.5 mile, river crossing, smooth black top riding, walking, or roll is a highlight in Stowe not to be missed. Prepare to be subdued……….

The Path has so much to offer whether you are in it for some exercise or out for a social ride, you will find it all right here.   If you are up for a social day in town the path offers an amazing farmers market which operates every Sunday through out the summer and is right off the path with parking for your bikes.  There is usually some music, happening  local art, organic meat, crafts and happy people floating around.  If you are looking for a place to eat or have a drink along the way, the options are boundless.  There are pubs, hip pizza joints, fancy eateries, ethnic food, even a movie theater. If you are into a little non- social day ride out towards the mountain, farther up the path and you will find beautiful fields, woods, and rivers.  Take a picnic lunch, jump off a rock into the West Branch River, or just find your special place.

I know this all sounds like fun in the sun summer style, but the path is at its best in the winter.  It’s a great place to snowshoe, X Country ski, or take one of those big-wheeled winter Cycles  (Fat Bikes)  that look super fun.Winter Mountain Bike

What ever you choose it will be a great day don’t plan too much just start at the beginning and ride up the path experiencing what ever comes your way.  It is one of my favorite days in Stowe and I feel thankful that we have it in our town.

Peace Love and Happy Trails
